More
Free, and not the trial kind.
Loom Conductor is Apache-2.0 open source. There is no paid tier, no seat license, and no credits system. You pay your model providers directly, and only them.
The bill, itemized
Three line items. One of them is zero.
The app: nothing
A 13 MB download for macOS, Linux, and Windows with every feature included. No account beyond your Claude login, no trial clock, no upgrade screen waiting at the end.
The fleet: your Claude login
The six Claude Code CLI sessions run on the Claude login you already have. No API key, no per-seat charge from us, nothing added on top of what you already pay Anthropic.
The Conductor: your key, or no key
The planning model is bring-your-own-key across OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, Groq, Cerebras, DeepSeek, Mistral, OpenRouter, and more. Or run it locally on LM Studio, MLX, or Ollama for nothing.
What it costs in practice
Your real spend has two parts, and you already control both.
- The fleet rides whatever Claude plan you already use. Loom does not meter it, mark it up, or sit between you and Anthropic. When a session hits a usage limit, account rotation parks that account and moves to the next pooled one, so a limit costs you time recovered, not money.
- The Conductor costs whatever your chosen provider charges for the tokens it uses, at the provider's own posted rates. Pick a frontier model when the plan matters, a cheap fast one for routine runs, or a local Conductor that costs exactly nothing.
Your key goes into the OS keychain and calls travel from your machine through Loom's SSRF-guarded proxy straight to the provider you chose. There is no reseller in the middle because there is no middle.
Questions
The fine print, which is short.
Will a paid tier appear later?
The app you download today is free and licensed Apache-2.0, and that license cannot be taken back. Whatever happens later, this code stays free and forkable.
Do you resell or mark up tokens?
No. There is no credits system and no margin. Your key, your provider, your bill, paid directly to them.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The fleet needs only your existing Claude login, and a local Conductor through LM Studio, MLX, or Ollama needs no key at all.
What about usage limits?
Loom recovers rate limits and stalls automatically and rotates pooled Claude accounts when one hits its cap. The rate limits guide covers the details.
Hand it the work.
